This web site is the result of my own struggle to find success online. After having built several successful offline ventures, including one that published information for home-based businesses, I moved to the Internet in 2000 and I found both similarities and differences in how offline and online businesses operate.
It took some time for me to find the required elements to make money online. While I was fortunate to have funding that allowed the weather the months of negative income, I knew from my experience in starting my offline businesses that many people could not afford to dump thousands of dollars into the learning process, after all the ‘net is supposed to be a hub of countless free information sites.
To shorten my long story, after many false starts, I finally learned to navigate the online terrain successfully and focus on things that really matter. But I also remembered the countless hours of frustration and wasted time and money. So I decided to dedicate this web site to helping other newbies find quicker and less expensive ways to success on the ‘net.
Not all methods, products and strategies will be right for all my readers. Some will miss the mark because they are not suitable for your niche; others will be more or less advanced that you need at the moment. The primary effort will be to inform you about steps that can propel you to succeed in your chosen area. The key phrase here is “chosen area.”
When I began, I thought I had to know practically everything BEFORE I got started. WRONG!!! You only need to know what you must use at that moment. And you don’t have to master all of that. With a few dollars, you can get others to do things you have not mastered. So check out places like Fiverr and learn to use your time to do tasks that you do well and that matter to your bottom line.
One last word of caution: Don’t do like I did and buy things you are not prepared to use almost immediately for your business. In other words, don’t stockpile technology because it changes too quickly. Old software is practically worthless. A good rule of thumb is to never buy what you will not implement in 5 – 10 days maximum. Some argue for a 3-day rule.
